As a photographer, I have always believed that a photograph can be so much more than a beautiful image. The photographs we treasure most are usually the ones that bring back a feeling, a person, a place or a special moment in our lives. That is what I strive to create for every client I work with.
I am deeply inspired by the work of Richard Avedon, Irving Penn and Philippe Halsman. I admire the way they photographed with intent and purpose, looking beyond the surface to reveal something of the real person in front of the lens. Their influence can be seen throughout my work, particularly in my approach to portraiture, where I aim to capture not just simply how someone looks, but something of who they are.
I don't see my job as simply taking photographs. I see it as getting to know the person or people in front of my camera and finding a way to reveal something of their personality, character and individuality. Sometimes that means capturing a simple expression or a spontaneous moment. Sometimes it means creating something dramatic, elegant or completely unexpected. Whatever the occasion, I want your photographs to feel like you.
I understand that having your photograph taken can feel a little daunting. My role is to put you at ease, guide you when you need direction and create an environment where you can relax and enjoy the experience. I take my time, pay attention to detail and never want you to feel that you are being rushed through a photoshoot.
Whether I'm photographing families, individual or group portraits, special celebrations, corporate events or real estate, I approach every assignment with the same care and attention. I use professional equipment, lighting and photographic techniques to deliver the best results, but I believe the most important tool I bring to a photoshoot is the ability to connect with people.
For me, photography is personal. Every person has a story. Every occasion has something worth remembering. Every photoshoot has a purpose. My role is to capture that story in a way that you will be proud to share today and still love looking at many years from now.
